Money Skills Every Teen Girl Should Have
“The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”
Start with three jars
Give, save, spend. The proportions matter less than the habit of dividing money before spending any of it.
A teen who divides her first fifty dollars will divide her first salary the same way.
Teach the cost of borrowing
Proverbs 22:7 is not a condemnation of debt, it is a description of what debt does to your freedom.
Work one real example together: a three hundred dollar phone on a card at twenty-four percent, paid at twenty-five dollars a month. Let the arithmetic make the point.
Generosity and freedom are both built from the same habit: decide before you spend.
