Your Worth Is Not A Score
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Grades, followers, minutes played, invitations received — every one of them goes up and down. If your worth is tied to them, your worth goes up and down too.
The cross settled the question before you had a single achievement to your name. Christ died for us while we were at our worst, not after we had earned it.
You can still work hard and aim high. Just do it from a place of being loved, not in order to be loved.
Prayer
Jesus, thank You that Your love came first and was never earned. Amen.
