Exalted Like The Horn Of The Unicorn
“But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.”
This is the verse UnicornBAE was built on. In Scripture a horn is a picture of strength and dignity — not the strength a person manufactures, but strength that is lifted up and given. The psalmist does not say I will raise my own horn. He says thou shalt exalt it.
The unicorn of the King James Bible is a wild, unbroken, set-apart creature. It could not be domesticated or put to work for someone else's purposes. That is the picture God chose for the strength He gives His people: untamed by the crowd, answerable to Him.
And then, fresh oil. Not the oil from last year's anointing, not the strength you had before the children came or before the season got hard. Fresh, for today, poured out on a woman who has nothing left in the jar.
If you are reading this dry, that is exactly who the verse was written for. You do not need to work up strength before God will meet you. He exalts the horn. He supplies the oil. Your part is to come as you are and let Him.
Prayer
Lord, exalt my horn as You promised. Anoint me with fresh oil for today — not for the woman I used to be, but for the one standing here now. Amen.
